How do Gift Certificates work?
PLEASE NOTE: Gift certificates are NOT sent in the mail. After purchasing you will be given instructions for either emailing the gift certificate to the recipient or printing it on your printer for giving.

How To Redeem
Gift Certificates work the same way as coupons. In step 1 of the Check Out process, the recipient may enter the unique Gift Certificate code in the coupon / gift certificate field. The code will be written on the certificate in the email notification or on the printed gift certificate.
How To Give?
During the checkout, enter your email address so you can receive the email confirmation. Once you place the order, you will be given the option to either print out the gift certificate and give it to the recepient or enter their email address and have the gift certificate emailed to them. Do not enter the recepient's email address during checkout or they will receive your order confirmation!
How long are the gift certificates good for?
Gift Certificates are good for 1 year. After 1 year the gift certificate will be removed from the system and there will be no refund.
Can I use the gift certificate incrementally?
Yes, the gift certificate may be used for multiple orders. For example, if you have a $35 gift certificate and only use $30 of it, the additional $5 can be used at a later date within the 1 year period.
Are the gift certificates refundable?
No, all gift certificates are non-refundable.
Will I be sent a physical, printed gift certificate?
No, our gift certificates are electronic. The gift certificate codes are sent via email or via a printed gift certificate card printed by the purchaser. The recipient will receive an email with the code and the sender will also recieve a confirmation email with the code. If you or the recipient did not receive the email please contact us and we will resend the email.
How do I place my order online?
Browse through the site until you find the item you wish to purchase.
From the product page select the size / quantity you'd like and click "Add to Cart".
You may repeat step 2 by clicking the "Click to continue shopping" link and adding more items to your cart for purchase or continue.
Once you've added all the items that you wish to purchase to your cart, you can begin the checkout process. This process involves 4 steps; Verify Your Order, Shipping Information, Billing Information and Payment information. You will then receive an order confirmation email. When your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email.
Shirts are only held for you once you place an order. Adding a shirt to your cart does not guarantee that you will be able to purchase it at a later date. If the shirt you want sells out before you proceed through checkout, a notice will pop up in step 2 of checkout and the item will be removed from your cart.
Is the site secure?
Any personal information given to Totaltri.com will be secured using 128-bit encryption.. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties. Totaltri.com's server will secure your personal information with up-to-date firewall and encryption techniques during the ordering process.
In order to protect customers to the fullest extent, TotalTri does not store your credit card information at any time (this includes before, duration, and after an order is placed).
To assist you in recognizing secure areas of the Threadless.com website, a small lock icon will appear in your web browser. When this icon is present, and in the locked position, you know that information on that page will be secured.
Added online security to protect your personal information from unauthorized use is provided by using advanced SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.
Can I track my order status?
You can track your order status by logging in and accessing the My Account link from the site header. All orders placed under your username will be displayed in the "My Account" section.
You may also track your order here. You will need your your order# and email address.
How do I use a coupon or gift certificate?
You can enter a coupon or gift certificate code during the first step of the checkout process. During checkout, there is a field to enter a coupon code or gift certificate code. You can only enter one code per order. The coupon or gift certificate will be deducted off the total of the order. If there is a balance, the amount will remain on the coupon or gift certificate code to be used on future orders.
Coupons and gift certificates are good for one year.
How can I pay for my order?
TotalTri only accepts Credit Cards for payment. We also accept Paypay payments and Google Checkout (coming soon)
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards. Only Debit Cards backed by a Credit Card company listed above (Visa, Mastercard, etc) can be accepted. We do not accept Switch, Electron, Maestro or other international debit cards. Our website features an SSL secure connection during the transaction keeping your information secure and private. Please note that the charge on your statement will appear "TotalTri.com".
How can I make changes to my order?
Once you place your order, you will need to email us if any changes are needed to your order. Use the form on the contact us page.
Changes can only be made if your request is answered before your order is processed. Depending on demand, we may or may not be able to make your requested change. Once your order is processed or shipped, no changes can be made.
I placed my order, but forgot to add a tee. How can I add it to my order?
We're sorry but we're unable to add to your order since we don't store credit card information. You will have to place a new order for the additional shirt.
How do reward points work?
Points are given for each dollar spent at TotalTri. One point is awarded for each dollar. Points are awarded on a per order basis.
Each time you checkout, you will be provided your accumulated points. At any time, you can choose to issue a rewards certificate - which can then be used immediately during checkout with the code issued.
In order to earn points, you will need a customer account and be logged in when placing your order. Customer accounts are free and may be created on any page (see header - "Creat an Account". This enables you to save billing/shipping information and track order status/history.
How do I become a vendor?
You should check out our vendor section: www.totaltri.com/vendors. All vendors must complete the necessary paperwork and be approved before order designs at wholesale. Once your vendor status is approved, tees are $9-12 with a minimum order of 24 tees.
Can I advertise or participate in a TotalTri theme contest?
Absolutely. If you would like to allow use of your brand, tagline, athlete/team in a theme contest - you can obtain more details here. Often times the donation of some product or service is a great reward for users to design your next adver-tee! We have many options available; and you can submit your request here: http://www.totaltri.com/advertise.html.
Can I combine orders?
Sorry! We are unable to combine orders. Each order you place will be sent separately.
Why do some tees cost $25?
The $25 tees are upgraded tees. These tees are commissioned by designers and are printed on American Apparel tees. They are not limited in colors like the regular Threadless tees and can use specialty inks. Therefore, the Select tees are a bit more than the other shirts.
Can I stop by your warehouse and get shirts?
Sorry, at this time, we can not provide local pickup of your shirts. We hope to offer this very soon.
I've tried checking my order status online and it won't work.
To check your order status, go to http://www.totaltri.com/cgi-bin/shop/cp-app.cgi?&pg=track. You will need to enter your order number AND email address used to place the order. Please make sure to enter both correctly and it will pull up your order information. Do not include any extra spaces or characters. If you do, it will not recognize your info and will not be able to pull up your order.
I emailed service@totaltri.com several times and haven't received a response!
Likely we did receive your email and have already responded. Some emails, like Hotmail, AOL, Verizon, mark our emails as spam or completely block them. Check your spam folder to see if our response is there. If possible, send from a different email address or use our web form. Our web form using a email tracking system - ensuring we don't miss any service request. It's also possible that your email arrived in our spam folders. The best way to fight spam is to use our contact form.
Can I change the username and password on my account?
Sorry, but at this time you can't change your username. This feature will be available shortly.
I placed an order, but I don't have my order number. Can I look it up?
You can log into your customer account using the email address and password used to setup the account. Your order history will be available upon login. If you forgot the password used, there's a 'forgot password' function that will email you the password.

How much will shipping cost me?
Costs vary based on ship location, the weight of the items in your order and the ship method chosen. To determine the cost of shipping, simply add the items you wish to order to your cart and either, a) use the shipment calculation feature in the cart (enter your zip code if not logged in), or b) proceed to step 2 and fill out your shipping address and you will be provided shipment options & prices on step 3.
Can I track my shipment?
Yes. When you visit our Order Tracking system, you will be able to click through to the carriers website and track the exact status of your shipment.
My tracking number isn’t working! Why?
Tracking numbers can take up to 72 hours to be updated (in the shipper system); although we find it normally doesn't take more than 24 hours.
Why was my order charged a customs fee when it was delivered?
The shipping cost combines the handling fee for your package by our fulfillment team as well as the postage necessary to send your order. Iinternational orders may incur a customs fee by your local customs authorities. This fee is being charged by your government, not Totaltri.com. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we have no control over the customs authorities in your country or any other.
If I choose Next Day or 2 Day shipping, when will I get my order?
For Express Orders, we do offer UPS Next Day and UPS 2 Day shipping. UPS Next Day will arrive the next business day after the ship date. UPS 2 Day will arrive 2 business days after the ship date.
Some processing time may apply. For the most part, Express Orders will be shipped within 3 business days from the date the order is placed.
UPS 2 Day and Next Day deliveries are only made during the business week. Deliveries will NOT be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays. If an order is shipped Friday UPS Next Day, it will arrive on Monday. If that Monday is a holiday, it will arrive on Tuesday.
Why did I get charged tax?
Only orders shipped to a California address are charged tax along with the shipping fee.

Who designs the product?
You do!
Totaltri.com is an on-going tee shirt design competition, anyone can submit their design and if it gets a high enough score and is chosen by the TotalTri judgest and customers, it will be printed and sold from the site.
Most of the product found on TotalTri is a result of the competition. A few of the shirts were printed outside of the contest, some of which were comissioned by TotalTri to various well-known designers, vendors, advertisers, or industry partners.
Why are you out of stock of a particular item?
TotalTri keeps very limited quantities of shirts in stock. We do this for a few reasons:
1) We want these tees to be limited edition.
2) We want focus on introducing new shirts into our stock rather than restocking old designs.
3) If a design you really like is out, you can request a reprint.
Washing Instructions?
The instructions are as follows: Machine wash cold. Wash dark colors separately. Use non-chlorine bleach only if needed. Tumble dry low. Do not iron decoration. Do not dry clean if decorated. The tee's are primarily 50/50 cotton blend shirts and may shrink slightly. Washing in cold water and tumble dry on low heat will reduce shrinkage.
How does a reprint request work?
Reprint requests don't happen on an individual basis. We only reprint designs after they receive a certain amount of requests from all of the users. If we ever reprint one of your requested tees you will receive an email stating so. Some designs you have requested may never be reprinted, but make sure you're signed up for the TotalTri.com newsletter so you can be notified if and when reprints happen.
Why do women's tees cost more?
We print on American Apparel shirts for the women tees, which are 100% cotton and made in the US. They cost us more to purchase and print on, and that is why they are more expensive on the site.
Why don't you offer more sizes?
We carry S-2XL for the Mens tee, S-XL for the Womens tees; we also offer Kids 4-12, and Infant sizes. We haven't had much of a demand to carry other sizes than what we offer. If that changes in the future, we'll definitely add additional sizes. Sign up for the TotalTri newsletter and be notified if and when that happens.
What is your policy on returns?
At Totaltris.com we want you to love your tees as much as we love scoring designs. We want to put originality and community into the t-shirts that you wear - doesn't each shirt deserve a good story? If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please return the item(s) for an exchange, refund or credit.
All returns must be in the original condition that you received them in. We do NOT accept back washed items. If a washed item is returned, we will refuse it and ask you to pay to have it returned to you. If we don't receive a response or payment for these items within 2-weeks - we will donate the shirt to a local community.
Please fill out the return form on the back of the invoice that was shipped along with your package. Indicate what you are returning and why. Please let us know if you would like in return whether it be an exchange, refund or credit.
All returns must be made within 30 days of placing your orders. We no longer accept returns or exchanges after the 30 day period.

What should I do if I no longer have the return form?
If you no longer have it you can get it here: www.totaltri.com/service/returnpolicy.pdf . Please be sure to include your order number, your email address, and the email address of whoever placed the order. (if they're different.)
The item I received was defective or incorrect. Do I have to pay to ship it back to you?
If you received the wrong item or if the item is defective, we will reimburse you for the cost of shipping the item back to us. Please send the item back regular mail and include your receipt with the return. We will not reimburse for express shipping.
I sent back a return, but haven't heard anything back.
Returns can take 1-2 weeks to be processed once we receive them. When your return is processed, we will send you a notification email. Check your spam folder to make sure the notification didn't get marked as spam.
How do I score designs?
To score design submissions, navigate to the 'rate designs' category and begin scoring. Score each shirt on a scale of 0-5 (0 being terrible). The system will keep track of which shirts you have scored so when you come back you will be all ready to score new designs. Reserve a rating of '6' for ones that you want to purchase. We use '6' ratings when determining how many shirts to print. We also offer shirts FIRST to that's that gave a design a '6' rating. If it sells out before we go general availability; we can't help ya. . This is just another tool we use to gauge the response to the tees. We will not FORCE you to actually purchase a winning design that you rated a 6.
How are the winning designs chosen?
We look at the top designs every couple of weeks and pick out around 10 designs that we want to print based off of the designs score, comments, and the number of i'd buy it's. Ultimately the decision of which shirts get printed are left up to us. The scoring system helps give us a general idea of which designs our customers want.
How do I submit a tee design and what do I win?
How to submit
Everyone is invited to submit a tee design. Frist, join the TotalTri community and then submit a design. Be sure to read all of the instructions and download a template (for designs - slogans/type tee's don't require a template). When you are done designing, you can return to the design page and use the form to submit your design.
If you followed all of the rules and specifications, your design will be posted to be rated on by the TotalTri community. It will stay posted for 14 days and then the results will be tabulated. If it is among the top scoring shirts, it may be chosen to be printed.
PRIZES !
If your design is chosen, you will receive a cash prize and a gift certificate to purchase some of your shirts. You will also be mentioned on the website and may become famous! Note that as the site grows we hope to be able to offer the winners more :)
