TotalTri.com, founded in 2001, was an online store for triathlon apparel. After 5 years, and an expansion into brick & mortar retail(a long, sad, story with a terrible ending I’d gladly share over a beer), we’ve decided to reinvent the business into a tee shirt design/contest company. We provide the technology, community, and fulfillment of order.  We offer an ongoing, general, competition - in which anyone can submit a design or slogan and have a chance at winning our cash & prizes. Each winning design goes to print, as do other top rated choices - at which time, users can purchase these limited edition tees. We offer an annual 'shirt of the month club' for customers who want to ensure they get a copy of the monthly winning design.  

The reinvention of TotalTri is also to get back into the creative side of triathlon. The retail business quickly became a job, where product margins and making sure you carried the 'hot' product (vs. the one with better quality, owners, salespeople). Plus, triathlon clothing/products all look the same. Same colors, same designs, different logo and location of logo. It's quite boring. What I noticed is that the customers typically know what looks best and if given the chance - will design great product. Here's the chance ... and I'm very excited for the opportunities to purchase their designs. I've gone through my closet and thrown out every old gap, old navy, sports authority, etc. tee shirt and I'm the first 'tee of the month' customer. The excitement of building a business and being back at the grassroots of triathlon is exciting.

TotalTri also works with companies, events, and non-profits to host ‘theme’ contests around a topic, image, or event.
